Are there any trainers that take interns during the summer months ?
My daughter wants to intern next summer, thought I would try to line her up with one for next summer

Our oldest will probably do something like that in the next few years. She will go to a cutting or working cowhorse trainer that we know though. I want her to see the better operations and learn the feel that comes with getting one that broke.
In any industry though you have good and really bad and a lot in between. Do your research on the trainer's reputation and check out their operation. Too many are looking for free labor and don't have anything to offer that you would actually want your child to learn.
Good luck finding a good match...it's a great opportunity to learn a lot and get on many different types of horses. As far as barrel trainers I would check with Sharin Hall and see if she would be interested in taking her on. Sharin is a great girl.

I just remembered that Sharin actually has something that she's putting together. Go check out her website and give her a call. She has a tab regarding her NG Youth Team.
