Why not pull the embryo prior to selling?

Ok, however, if she no longer owns the mare, how does that work with registering the foal?

I would call AQHA & see if they have any info or guidance!

I know it can be done, I heard of retaining as many as 5 embryos. You just need to find a lawyer experienced in equine affairs that would know how to write that up for you.

It can be done, I have a friend who sold a very nice broodie to the Brazilians and she retained an embyro or two for couple years. Best bet is to call AQHA and ask for their assistance.
