Proverbs 25:1-10 These also are proverbs of Solomon which the men of Hezekiah king of Judah copied;
It is the glory of God to conceal a matter. But the glory of kings is to search out a matter. As the heavens of height and the earth for depth, so the heart of kings is unsearchable. Take away the doss of silver, and it will go to the silversmith for jewelry. Take away the wicked from before the king , and his throne will be established in righteousness. Do not exalt yourself in the presence of the king and do not stand in the place of the great; for it is better that he say to you, "Come up here", than that you should be put lower in the presence of the prince, whom your eyes have seen. Do not go hastily to court; for what will you do in the end, when your neighbor has put you to shame? Debate your case with your neighbor, and do not disclose the secret to another. Let he who hears it expose your shame, and your reputation be ruined.
Have you ever gotten mad and said something that you regretted immediately? It is so easy to make an impulsive decision in the heat of the moment without putting any thought or prayer into it.
How many times do you really stop and take time to assess the situation? Do you know all the facts? Am I taking this personally? Am I reacting out of emotion? Have I slept on the decision?
What about prayer? Have I diligently sought the Father for His answer? Do I know His heart on the matter?
If we are not careful, we will seek to get others on our side. Do you know what he or she said? We want others to agree with our sin and bad decisions.
We must use wisdom to think before we act. Ask the Lord to rule your spirit and to allow you to walk in wisdom
