What are your thoughts on this new event? Ill be curious to see what the entry fee is for each event. And if I read it correctly you can enter the 4D twice on each horse? Anyone interested in making the trip from MO?

I'm excited about all these big events! I don't really go to rodeos so, for me, this stuff is awesome. You can stay in one place, run against the toughest of the tough and win good money! And I love the shootout format for each d.

You must have been entered in a qualifier to run at this event is how I read the show bill. And the entry form that someone attached is for the added 5K futurity that is open to those who want to enter....or at least thats how I read it.

Open to any contestant who competed in a Qualifier for the 2015 RFD-TV The American Rodeo! – BBR MEMBERSHIP REQUIRED! CONTESTANTS MUST ALSO BE ENTERED IN THE TOP GUNS PATRIOT 4D. TIME ROLLS TO THE 4D.

I found the above on an old thread...

There is a futurity, invitational (those who ran in qualifiers), and shoot-out (open to BBR members.) All seperate events, from the way I'm reading? The entry form I linked is for all events and taken directly from their page:  http://americanpatriotevent.com/index.php/better-barrel-races

What is confusing to me is the payout: the "projected payout" listed is based on times being rolled, correct?
Sounds like tons of fun, but a little rich for me, plus my horse will have 6" of hair by then...

Fees are pretty dang stout!!!  I was guessing it would be about $100 a run, this is too stout for my blood.... $500 for 2 4D entries with only $10,000 added.  $30 processing fee.. I don't like it.  I was really excited about it and planning to go...but $530 up for 2 runs with not really that much added money, there's lots of other places with more bang for your buck.

TOP GUN 4D SHOOT OUT - $10,000 Added - $250 EF / 75% Payback -
One race run over Tues-Fri with 4D ShootOut Rounds on Saturday
Riders may enter same horse twice, but must run on different days.
Futurity Long Go and American Patriot Invitational automatically roll
to Top Gun Shoot Out and count as one of the horse's entries.

$250 entry fee @ 2 horses = $500
$150 stall/shavings for 7 days @ 2 horses = $300
$30 processing fee
$830....   Too expensive for me!  :(

(Looks like you have to buy a full 7 days of stall even if you won't be there that long?)

ETA - ANYONE WANT TO SPONSOR ME????

Too pricey for me with only $10,000 added. I believe Jud Little's race had $10,000 added on Sunday and only had a $100 entry fee plus whatever the office fee was. I thought that was reasonable.

I agree, the futurity is reasonable as far as futurities go, but the 4D is pretty pricey for the added $$$$.
