I always look at the manufacture dates for my senior feed but bought some alfalfa pellets yesterday and didn't even think to look. THey were made in May . They were at the feedstore in good storage and the outer bag was clean. I know people who store hay bales for months at a time but how long should alfalfa pellets last?

I always give it the smell test when I buy feed, as long as its not dusty with mold and smells good then I dont worry about the date. Unless it got damp..then nope wont feed it.
