Location: Never in one place long | I bought a Sundowner trailer about 2 mos ago and I like it except that the saddles are always slipping off the rack! It never happened with my Exiss trailer but I can't seem to keep them on. The saddle rack is plastic... any tricks to keep them on? some kind of grippy material maybe? |

| Depending on how the racks are set up, you might have to turn your saddle around. In my Kiefer Built the saddles have to go on horn first to stay put. Never had a problem since I turned them around. |

| I have a bp Sundowner and the saddles always slid off when the saddle rack was in the back tack. It got moved to the dressing room (so now they are straight instead of sideways in the trailer, if that makes sense) and I no longer have that problem. |

| I store my extra and old pads underneath mine to keep them from rocking from side to side with the motion of the trailer and they rarely fall off. |

Darn! dissapointing! Sounds like Sundowner needs to engineer a better saddle rack! How annoying!! Mine never ever came off my exiss but it was a totally dif design and carpeted. Guess I'll be diggin up some bungee cords and getting some grippy material on them. |

Maybe try to buy some cheap indoor/outdoor carpet and glue to them.. that is what I want to try to do to my Featherlite, mine fall off everytime my trailer moves! Along with my bridles coming off the hooks, everything is alway in the floor when I open the door. |

Location: Winging It in KY | I had the same issue with mine. If you look in my album you can see some photos of how I fixed mine. Not sure how you would attach it to a plastic saddle rack but you will get an idea. |

I have these in my Featherlite, however, if you put the blanket racks above the saddle, your horn slips in the center and keeps the saddle from falling off. On the Sundowner I used to have I had the same issue. I ended up using a bucket strap. Clip it to the rack above and simply loop the end over the horn of the saddle below it. They may move sideways, but wont fall. |

| I have the same problem .. had it in the Sundowner I owned as well as the Featherlight … Gonna try the carpet or indoor/outdoor grass and see what that does … Not sure what to do about the bridle racks .. stuff ends up on the floor all the time. It's so annoying and I'm not a wild driver either! |

| I agree. We got a heavy industrial carpet and screwed it in with a drill. Works great |

This ^^^ And I have carpet on my saddle racks. If I don't bungee them down, they'll all be on the floor. I just hook it underneath the rack, go up around the horn a couple of time and back down to hook under the rack again. Works great. |

Thanks in advance!! |

Location: North MS | Seems like we need to petition for better saddle/bridle racks. I've never thought of turning the saddle around though. How simple! But I've got a bridle rack problem. I've got a Kiefer and purchased it used. My bridle rack was installed on the side with the horses. How crazy was that! Also if anyone has a 2000 model kiefer and can send me a pic of the butt bar setup I would appreciate it. Mine came lacking one and now I'm getting paranoid thanks to the I-20 accident. |

For the butt bar issue When mine broke off in our old Keifer I just went and bought some chain and hooked it to the ring that the old butt bar was hooked to. Put a bull snap on the other end, problem solved. |
