Location: Kansas | Streak just had a super busy weekend and did great at everything we asked him to do so I've got to brag on him a little. I loaned him to a rodeo queen for the URA Finals Thursday, Friday & Saturday, so he got to carry flags all three nights, including the American flag, chase steers and calves out of the arena during the rodeo and eat lots of cookies in his spare time. Then on Sunday, I took him an NBHA where he made one of our best runs to date and got 3rd in the 4D. The only bad part was that when they adjust the D's to start with the fastest district member, it bumps him into the bottom of the 3D so we don't get any year-end points. :( Still, he is coming along pretty well and I'm beyond proud of him right now. No one had ever carried a flag on him until last weekend, and he had to do it with a new rider, a bit he'd never been ridden in, and in front of a great rodeo crowd. Talk about pressure. He was scared to death Thursday night but we got the bugs worked out for the last two nights. I ended up stationing my dad & brother at the gate with me so someone could pet him and keep him calm between their flag runs. We discovered that he LOVES Mrs. Pastures Horse Cookies and will literally run to the gate to get them from me.

Location: Kansas | He is so much fun! I just love him to pieces, even if he still doesn't like to stand still. Several people helped us keep him relatively calm by petting him during the down time, but every time I looked out in the arena during steer wrestling, he was standing in the corner completely calm with the pickup horses so I think he'll get to the point of standing calmly without someone hugging and kissing his nose! LOL. |

OK first pic is your collage of rehabbing him. Second one is what you put up today that made me cry. He's so special and does so many different things for my family and friends.
