I was Air Force from 90 to 98. I was stationed In Guam and Texas. It was a great opportunity and would not have traded it for the world

Lol. That's why I asked. USAF goes several ways I guess.

USMC 2006-2011

I didn't do anything though. Never left the States. Got stuck in a training squadron and never left.

My husband and I are both USMC. He served from 2008-2013 and was deployed to Afghanistan twice. I have been in since 2012.

Thanks bunches Dave and Gail!!

Actually, I am former Royal Netherlands Air Force. 1994-2010.
Only got out because I married my husband (US Army, 1990-2013) and the Air Force was sending me back to the Netherlands after being stationed in Texas for 5 yrs. And I decided I needed to stay with hubby!

eta: I was in the Azore Islands during Desert Storm....I really, really wanted to do something. I volunteered to my Nursing Lt Colonel......she assigned me to driving the Cookie Truck on the flight line.....so, basically, as everyone stopped in to refuel their planes, I drove the truck on the flight line and brought them all a little bag of cookies lol.......that really wasn't what I had hoped to do, but I guess they had enough faith that I wouldn't crash the cookie truck into a plane, so that was something.

I agree! Gail and Dave give BHW a strong patriotic flavor that is always welcoming and appreciated.  The military service and dedication from your own family members isn't anything to shake a stick at either.

I've had a chance to work with some Dutch Air Force and Marines.  I always found them both exceptionally professional and entertaining at the same time.
