Location: DUMPING CATS AND PIGS IN TEXAS :) | Why you ask? Well, my pit bull puppy, who is getting close to 50 pounds (it feels like) farted such a stench that it woke me from a dead sleep. To say it smelled like a thousand dead animals would be an understatement. Sooooo, I texted Alison Tebbens......because she's a Scientist.....and asked her what I needed to do to make them smell a little better.
She told me to give her plain yogart to eat.
Now, I've been thinking about that and it was 4:40 this morning so maybe she didn't understand my question clearly.......
So, do you agree with Alison Tebbens that plain yogart will make my dog's farts smell like daisies? Or, is she just trying to get me to make my dog eat yogart? |

| LOL ... they won't smell like daisies but Alison is correct - giving yogurt will help "regulate" the digestive system so that they don't fart quite as much :) |

I'm not interested in lessening the amount of farts. I want to make them smell better!! I want farts that won't wake me up gasping for air! |

| LOL ... and she probably eats horse poo and cat poo and whatever else she can get her little chompers on, right??
Check the ingredients on the bag of dog food. The first ingredient should always be a meat ..... |

| Put a drop of peppermint oil on her tongue... suppose to settle the stomach and maybe stop the farts all together!!! Or they may smell like candy canes! |

Don't let her eat cat food! Our dog (a Boston Terrier) developed an allergy to it and had severe skin problems from it. He's over them now, but we don't let him get anywhere near the cat food anymore, and we are VERY careful about what kind of dog food he eats. Have you tried Beneful? It is by Purina, and Nutro/NutroMax is good stuff too.
Yogurt will help regulate the digestive system...they also say lamb and rice dog food is good for their digestive system too...however I've not had very good results with lamb and rice. Also how much and what kind of human food she eats could play an important role in how terrible smelly her gas is. By the way...the reason I know all this is because Boston Terriers have to have the stinkiest farts ever! LOL. |

She wouldn't eat any cat food, if someone would take a few cats off my hands......
My chihuahuas eat the same food and I never smell their farts. She doesn't get much table found. A nibble here and there. I'll try some other dog food. |

Location: Colorado | LRQHS, 32 oz. of yoguart in the blender, add a very ripe banana, and a dolop of smooth peanut butter. Blend. Put in ice cube trays. Fill about half way. Freeze and serve the pup. When looking for a new food stay away from Corn, Wheat and Soy AND dyes. You should be able to find Victor in your swamp. They have a good All Life Stage food that is very reasonable. Made in TX with American sourced ingredients. Fromm has a good base food that is in a shiney purple and silver bag and very reasonable. It is chicken and duck protein. Stay away from Kitty protein. Just remember if Pup smells that bad Pups belly feels that bad!

Well, maybe you don't smell chihuahua farts because they are that much smaller, LOL.
No cats this way...I have one, and we barely get along. If we ignore each other we do okay. :) |

I started with, "so you're a Scientist" and she practically jumped out of bed to talk to me about what could scientifically be happening in the gut of my dog. She loves that crap. |

Location: Wonderful Wyoming | I had a Rottie that could fart and clear the house. He slept in the hallway between my room and my dad's, upside down and would snore and fart all night long. Closed doors didn't matter, you could see that green stench float over and under the door like steam. Would have been nice to know about the yogurt back then... |
