I saw this shared on a friend's wall, and had to post it here. It was written by someone that a lot of people on this board don't like, but even if you don't like the person or her business dealings, listen to the message. It is great. I see this all the time on this board, and I don't like the turn it's taken. These are good words for ALL of us to remember. Always encourage if you can!
??POSITIVITY RANT??
I got so many compliments over the weekend for posting and being proud of my 2D buckle I won. ....I was disheartened a little...it dawned on me that we have belittled each others accomplishments through gossip and "arm chair quarterbacking" that now a 2D buckle isn't a big deal. I'M ON A MISSION TO HELP #RAISETHEBARFORRODEO when you see someone at a race that has the uncool saddle and tack.....doing all the wrong things and clocking in the 5d...share your knowledge. ..yell for him/her because once upon a time THAT WAS US! For me....that time came after the end of a bad relationship and a nearly fatal accident that left me with uncool tack and scared to death to let my horse out of a high lope. I think as we have now evolved into a glamorous world of semis...huuuge trailers and even bigger price tags on horses we've forgotten that we are all able to empower each other! So this is just a friendly reminder that when you see a girl in the 5d pulling her 1 horse trailer behind the truck she can afford....she may be the girl you critique at the NFR in years to come in her big rig that she earned and all the buckles she can hold! My friend Karen is a glowing example....if you hear someone yelling for you and you know you aren't anywhere near the leader board...it's my friend Karen encouraging you from the stands! She taught me a lesson this week! So if you catch yourself belittling someone's accomplishments because of where they got their horse....what they drive...or how goofy they look when they ride...be careful.....she may be a woman on the rise!!! Give her a hand and some advice instead and someone that's more accomplished than you may return the favor too!!! Bullying amongst our sport is alive......LET'S STOMP IT OUT!!

Yes I admire the original poster even more for her positive attitude and willingness to always say nice things about her competitors. Shows confidence and strength of character!
Thank you for sharing here as this board does take a negative turn at times.
