Some have a regular and wide width.

I thought I just read how the Deb Sibley's from Panther Mountain is doing it differently.

On the Just B Natural Circle Y saddles the regular width fits a narrower horse or one with more withers.  The wider fits a more mutton withered horse.

So as long as it fits in withers I shouldn't need to check for pressure points any where else, like I said I was day dreaming bout saddles an it popped in my head. Thanks for the info
