How do you include a child that came into the family?
The basic announce will be Tasha last name and Cory last name got married August 29th 2014 at Las Vegas, Nevada. Tasha daughter of her parents name and Cory son of his parents name. Cory working name of employer
Tasha working at name of employer. The couple resides in Chamberlain South Dakota. But how do I aslo include her 2 yr old daughter that is from a previous relationship. We got a lovely granddaughter in our family also.
Our son wants to adopt her but that is another story. How can you include the daughter in the announcement? Or is this a no no?

Ok I write these things at work fairly often so here is what I would do without knowing anything about the family dynamics (seems like each situation is a little different and I am constantly adjusting the wording to fit each couple). Feel free to PM me if you have any questions about wedding announcements and how to handle special situations. Tasha last name and Cory last name got married August 29th 2014 at Las Vegas, Nevada. Tasha daughter of her parents name and Cory son of his parents name. Cory working name of employer Tasha working at name of employer. The couple resides in Chamberlain South Dakota with Tasha's daughter, INSERT NAME HERE.

IMO, it's YOUR announcement and if you want to have a third person in the picture, go for it. At the newspaper where I work, I wouldn't question it. I will say that the vast majority of wedding announcement pictures I've prepped for print had just the couple in them.
Granted, most of them ID all the people who were in the wedding and how they are related to the bride or groom so there are 57 names mentioned in the text.
