I know how the Walmart 1 hour guarantee works but how do you get the product that day? Is there a way to do it? Do you get there super early? Or is it not possible to get the product that day?
Thanks!!

I'm not a guru by any means..... but back in 2012 my husband had to work out of town on Thanksgiving and I drove out to see him after I had ate and could get leftovers for to take out to him and his guys.  He was out of contact solution in the camper and there was a Walmart just about a mile down the road so I went to go grab some..... never again.  It was about 9p.m. and the place was PACKED.  I overheard some people saying that they were just going to walk around and wait it out until some of the items they had actually went on sale the next day....

ETA:  I think you just have to go and grab the item and wait if you think it'll be sold out fast!

You are nice to your husband so that he will stand in line with you.  We actually had fun.  We got there at about 4 pm.  You got a ticket with the item that you wanted.  The trick was finding the "area" where that product was going to be.  There were walmart employees handing out the tickets.  THen you stood in line to get the item, which they started doing that at 6 pm.  For the items that you didn't get a ticket for, it was a pure mess.  People were pushing, shoving, grabbing.

I would NOT go shopping on that day if somebody else wrote me a blank check to spend!

My sister and I Black Friday shop every year. Last couple years my boyfriend went too. Depending on how much stuff you are planning to buy...the more people you have the better. We always walk the store and scope everything out and then we all pick the most important item and wait there to grab. Then we all know where to go next. I always have a blast. I hate that it's on thanksgiving though...

Too many people worried about gifts and not each other...... I couldn't imagine wasting thanksgiving with family just to buy some gift that'll only be "cool" for a few months. Call me a Grinch but you couldn't pay me enough to go shopping on Black Friday!

I don't black friday shop a lot but I had a pretty good time last year.  We went thanksgiving night.  Nothing else to do.  Had the girl with me stand near movies and I grabbed some other things.  I only wanted a few things and when they opened up the "Black Friday" part of wal mart we grabbed and then left.  I found the whole thing HILARIOUS to watch.  People are so serious!!

I will say, I am thankful Wal Mart opens its doors and lets people meander.  Target didn't and there wasn't a chance in you know what that I was standing outside in the cold.  Dumb.

Husband got off work around midnight and he wanted some things at some stores like Tractor Supply so we went around first thing.  Really laid back compared to the night before.  I find it enjoyable.  Since hubby works it gives me something to do...

I was thinking about going up to OKC that year the next day and shop, but that experience really did me in!

I think if it was something like Teskey's, Double J or something like that I might not mind so much... lol

I'm in full Grinch mode this year... My cousin and I have always been able to spend Thanksgiving together except for last year when my Grandpa was having an "off" day and decided that he didn't want all the kids and grandkids around on Thanksgiving. The 11 kids broke off into 'groups' and I didn't get to spend Thanksgiving with her.  We vowed never again... and then she texted me a few days ago saying she probably wasn't going to get to to come up (from Dallas) because she would probably have to work Thanksgiving night.

My sisters, Mom and I go every year. We actually do it because its like bonding time. We love it and all have a blast. We don't get into the pushing and shoving part of it. I personally don't think there is much of a strategy to it because the retail stores setup like stations. Movies and some electronics are found near the grocery isle (this changes every year).

I basically walk in with what is highest on my list and if I find it... great, if not I move on. I usually can spot things fairly quickly.

Wal-mart usually has stations setup for their "high demand" items. You wait in line and get a ticket. Sometimes they only have 5 tickets, sometimes 10, sometimes 50. If you get a ticket, you have a certain amount of time to pick the items up. You can either wait or come back before that time and get it.

I've never black Friday shopped but I plan to go to Best Buy Thanksgiving night to get a camera. The camera I want isn't on their list of on sale items, so is everything in the store not rolled back or is it just specific things?????? Like I said, I've never done it but I always thought everything in the store would have a price cut...
