Location: Okla | I got this receipe from a cook at a cafe years ago and it's the best I have eaten ( I normally don't like pecan pies BC they are usually to sweet/rich. Hope everyone try's it and likes it as much as we all do
3 eggs, 1cup sugar, 2teaspoons melted butter, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 3/4 cup real cream(not whipped) 1/2 cup dark corn syrup, 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans. Beat eggs well, add sugar, butter, and salt, in another bowl whip cream gently for 1 minute and stir into egg mixture, add vanilla and pecans. Pour into pie shell, top with sliced pecans on top Bake 375 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes
I really hope yall will try this, it is beyond great.....
Happy eating.... |

Location: SE Louisiana | I know a man that makes the best I ever ate... It took me this long to wheedle the secret out of him.. plus about 20 years before today. This is what he told me..
"Secret to my pecan pie? Use honey not corn syrup. Chopped pecans and layer of Hershey's milk chocolate bars on crust before filling!!" Happy holidays and good eating!!
