We usually try to do something as a family to help the less fortunate at Christmas time, last year, we did a pet drive donating treats, food, toys etc to the animal shelter and then I always donate $ to Children overseas to have Christmas presents and project Christmas child etc. We also participate in food drives which are great.

What has been the most touching or meaningful donation/drive you've ever done as a family or group? Just wanted to get more ideas and hear some uplifting stories or good deeds to give me inspiration! I LOVE this time of year and it's very true, giving is better then getting.

I personally love Operation Blankets Of Love . They collect blankets for shelter and rescue animals so they get that little feeling of comfort that SO MANY shelters don't provide. There is such a HUGE change in a dogs comfort level when they have a warm blanket to ball up on and blankets are so easy to collect and get people to contribute!

CASA. I volunteer year round. I have found it very rewarding to see foster kids who have no family or resources get a great Christmas. I have had kids who are amazed that someone cares about them enough to give birthday and Christmas presents. I have given to many charities both time and money over the years and find helping foster kids the most rewarding for me.
