What exactly do you want your young horses to know before you teach them the pattern?

I haven't shown mine it yet because we are working on collection and flying lead changes because she is still a bit unbalanced, but my coach is helping me with the loopholes. Besides that she pretty much has all the buttons and is quite light.

the best way I can describe it (because my list is LONG) is that I want to be able to move any part of the horses body at anytime going almost any speed (understandable at a run if I can collect and drop to a walk lol)

^^^ this. I also want them to be light to their mouth and sides. I like to be able to use the littlest movements to do what I need to be done. and broke!
