Seriously?
Asking what horse she is riding at the NFR will muster a much faster response on BHW than emailing an NFR contestant that is most likely traveling, busy, prepping for NFR, etc.
Why does everyone assume that if someone is asking a question about an NFR contestant that they are automatically bashing on them? Crap, they are like celebrities and we want to know all about them! There is no shame in that.
These flipping threads are exhausting. |

Pierce: Lolo is 6 years old and very new to the rodeo world. She was trained by Andrea Cline and I purchased her at the end of her 3 year old year or first part of her 4 year old year. We never did any futurities on her. Lolo doesn’t have any major accomplishments yet. I ran her at the Redding, California rodeo and she didn’t place and then came back the next night for the Champions Challenge and split first with Christi Loflin. That was her first rodeo experience ever. I also ran her at Salt Lake City and didn’t place. Other than that she has been just a jackpot horse when we have time to go. Tiny is 6 and also new to rodeo. She was trained by Samantha Flannery and I bought her last year about this time. Even though they both have only been to a couple rodeos ever, I think after a couple rounds they will be great and just get better as they age. Tiny was successful in the futurities up north with Samantha and she is a little harder to ride but with age will be awesome. She placed in a round at my circuit finals and placed at the Moab, Utah rodeo |

| Hey everybody. I am new to posting on BHW. I usually don't get info from this web page until one of my kids or a friends tells me. Which I usually don't pay much attention too. However, since I know everybody is curious about who everybody is running at the nfr and why I am riding two very green to rodeo horses, I thought I would answer any questions y'all might have. I sold Arson. I love him and he is a super cool horse. I however, have to find a way to make rodeo pay. I have three children and a husband and real life expenses. So in order to stay on the road and continue to be the best home body I can be also, I try to sell the horses I can and replace them with horses I feel with time can be the caliber of Dillion and Arson. The girls I am taking to Vegas are young, but both have a solid foundation from great trainers. Lolo was started by Andrea Cline and Tiny by Samantha Flannery. Although, I may not have the NFR I want this year I know the experience will be great for them and I know after hauling in 2015 they will be super horses and I'm very excited about them. We all know my last two finals weren't the best with the best horse (IMO) out there so why not go in there and have fun and try my best with these two. My goal this year is to keep barrels up!!! Happy Thanksgiving and if anybody has any questions please ask me. |

The Arson horse looked like WC material to me or at least a big piece of the puzzle, but hey what do I know I am sitting at home. I was looking forward to watching him as well. From what I have seen of him ON TV he was fun to watch. Good luck to the new owners and to Pierce.

I think it is great to see real people living the dream. With real life comes hard choices, like selling horses and running new ones. This demonstrates to me someone who has thier priorities in line, and is still living life to its fullest. Good luck Carlee and have some fun! |

| What are these two horses bred like, and what do you think are their strengths (as barrel horses, not necessarily for the NFR atmosphere). As a breeder (small scale) I always like to read up on the qualities and characteristics of talented barrel horses. Thank you, and good luck! |

| Both are A Streak of Flings. They are total opposites! Lolo is very conservative and just goes with the flow. I feel like she is a winner and can be great because even though she makes mistakes (or I do) she is very willing to make everything correct. She turns super fast and correct. I like the four wheel drive feeling when they turn a barrel and she has that. She has the want to in her eyes all the time. She has shown she can compete with the best it's just not as consistent as she will be in the next year. Lolo looks the part. She has great confirmation from head to tail to feet.
Tiny on the other hand is a fireball. She isn't, in my opinion, put together as well, but she has a natural ability like I've never seen before. She still goes in and makes stupid mistakes because she is so talented and thinks she is better than she really is. Lol. But she right now is capable of winning at any level as long as I ride her correct because she is not as forgiving as lolo is. |

| I went all the way around that question. Lol. I like to buy horses that are at least started and show athletic ability and if they are running I like the ones that are not winning necessarily but I can see they have a lot more to give with a little fine tuning. I love trainers because they get them to the point where I can take them and make them rodeo winners. I feel not all great futurity or jackpot horses will make great rodeo horses. Just like not all rodeo horses make good jackpot horses. |

| Carlee, Thank you for coming on BHW and talking with us. I think that is down right awesome of you. High fives! I was fortunate enough to have friends send me the pedigrees to your ASOF's and Holy Smokes! What a nice set of horses! The one out of the Doc O Dynamite mare made me seriously drool. I can't wait to see her in action. How can you not have a blast on those mares! Good luck and have fun!
ps....if you have any old tack, trophy saddles, etc hanging around that you don't want, I take donations.....just thought I'd throw that out there :) |

| Thanks for coming on and answering questions!!! Living up in the North I don't get to see any of these horses run usually so its exciting to learn about who I'll get to watch on the big screen come December!!!
I think it shows a lot that you've been able to win on multiple horses! This is a career for you so I understand making those business decisions. I am excited to see yours run. I had a mare bred very similar to ASOF but it was before ASOF was even alive haha. So its exciting to see.
Good luck in Vegas!!!!!! I think its great that you get to take some greeny's down there and you never know they may surprise you and win BIG! |

| Thx Carlee for coming on. I didn't mean to open up a can of worms when I asked about why you sold Arson. I was just curious. As I would be with any of the NFR ladies. I look up to all you ladies. Good luck at the NFR and I hope you and the "girls" kick rear. |

Location: Here | Carlee R Pierce - 2014-11-19 12:24 PM Both are A Streak of Flings.
Thank you for sharing this |

Carlee R Pierce - 2014-11-19 11:05 AM Hey everybody.
I think it is great to see real people living the dream. With real life comes hard choices, like selling horses and running new ones. This demonstrates to me someone who has thier priorities in line, and is still living life to its fullest. Good luck Carlee and have some fun!
I couldn't have said it better myself Whiteman!
Congrats to Carlee for making it and GO GET 'EM!!! I will be cheering for ya! |

How funny...I'm old and stupid and it took me like 5 seconds to figure out who you are. Don't ever try to make a living going undercover.. |

 Don't Wanna Make This Awkward

Location: Texas | My original comment on here wasn't meant to be rude, but isn't so much better having an actual answer straight from Carlee?? She was willing to come on here and take time to anser the questions, and she doesn't have to hear well so-so on some website said you're riding this horse at the NFR when none of us really knew the answer.. I was just saying the top barrel racers don't bite like some may think they do.
THANK YOU Carlee, I will be rooting for you. |
