I have one. Gorgeous saddle. Fits my horse fantastically, beautifully made, sits me just a little bit too forward. It fits like my original Martha Josey Ultimate but like I said it puts me to center on my horse, I like to be able to sit down deep.

Thank you :) that's what I was a bit afraid of when I talked to them on the phone yesterday and they said it was built more for a man with a lower front. I too like to sit deep and feel in there, my horse is getting more front endy the older he gets and I get put forward in all saddles I've tried. I like the reg tree old ultimate I have but it does not fit him at all. I wonder if the hip hugger would be something I would like? It's hard as I can't physically sit in any of these saddles as no one I have found in Canada has them in stock :(

IF your looking to sell your ultimate I am looking for a 14.5 and would LOVE to buy it if it is my size. I love my Josey saddle and wouldn't trade it for the world.

I just purchased one but only kept it for about a month. Its a hands down beautiful saddle and didnt fit horse too bad, but it was a wide which i wanted..anyway it sure didnt fit me close like i was expecting and it made me terrible sore in the inner thighs!. I didnt care for the forward free swinging stirrups, i much prefer a Forward Hung stirrup. And yes I have had 4 martha Josey saddles. First one i won in 2001 and have never had one just like it. Newer ones felt low in the front end. My old one sat you close and felt like it had a nice swell on it.

Does your Ty Mitchell saddle have the same front as the Martha Josey Ultimate?? I really love my Ultimate saddle but i want something with a higher cantle that holds my butt in better when my horse leaves the barrels...but i'm not looking for something with a high front like the Cash and Hip Hugger saddles.

The ty will push you forwards instead of keeping you in the saddle. The saddle really doesn't fit like the Ultimate.
Anybody have the Ty Mitchell saddle??
