Proverbs 21-21/31 He who follows righteousness finds life,righteousness and honor. The horse is prepared for the day of battle,but deliverance is of The Lord.
Yes victory is in the hands of The Lord. I LOVE THAT FACT. I cannot imagine how many times I have determined to gain the upper hand over my life, my circumstances, and my fears. And yet, I fail time and time again. This does not suggest there are not times the great human spirit rises to the occasion. Our individual abilities are amazing , really. Just think of all of the great accomplishments of mankind. We send rockets to the moon, climb the Mount Everest of our lives, forge new inventions on a daily basis. Technological know how is changing almost every day,and possibilities are endless .
But just as we are warned in this proverbs , no matter how much "the horse " is prepared for the " day of battle". Deliverance is of The Lord. What a word of encouragement! At the end of the day, God is One who comes through and gives to His children all that is necessary to win the battle. The key words used in this proverb provide the key to our success in The Lord Jesus. Here is what we exhorted to do;we must follow after His righteousness, act with wisdom, guard our mouths, give sparingly, and listen carefully, just to highlight a few. The bottom line is this; God is on your side. Don't get in the way.
