I've been through Pecos before but honestly don't remember a thing about it... Is anyone on here from there? Have anything good to say about it? We're looking at moving there for an oil job.
We drove thru there this summer so that my husband, a geologist, could look at some things his company is interested in. One of the things was potential development of man camps. I would suggest you make living accommodations play a big part in your consideration to move.

Flat, windy and very dusty. The wind is rough and edgy in a sandblasting kind of way. Personally, I like the harshness of it. It is close enough to state and national parks to give you access to some terrific riding. There are barrel races within a reasonable distance. Not much in shopping and that bothers some people. The Walmart is small and not well stocked, unless it has changed. They have a nice rodeo arena and good alfalfa can be had nearby.
