Location: Oklahoma | I have a horse that is accident prone. He likes to hurt himself I think. He was off for 2 months for a pulled ligament on the back left, and 2 days after I started back riding him he cut his back right on the front of the ankle.
He is now not sore on either, but the wound is still there and healing. I have been exercising without wrapping either. I am needing suggesting on how to wrap and do more extensive work to see how he holds up. I can do a polo easily, but I an wanting to put my Iconoclast boots on him for the more extensive work, to make sure to support the left ankle. I am thinking I can do a gauze pad and prewrap (stuff that goes under tape for humans) and be OK. I thought of vet wrap first but I am afraid that will roll and rub and I don't think he will appreciate a boot on one foot and a polo on the other. I had also though of a thin polo under the Iconoclast, but the boot fits too snug for that set up.
Does anyone have any other suggestions or examples?
