| I have a 10 yr old that seems in pain when palpating right stifle, holds his leg in the hair and occasionally pins his ears. He also bucks when loping circles, shakes his heads, not wanting to stop straight, etc. Vets find left front and right hind lameness, but don't seem as sure it's from his stifle as I am. X-rays look good, ultrasound shows more fluid than should be there, but because we injected the stifle a month ago and saw no results, vet did not recommend injecting again. Experiences with stifle issues??
Anyone done arthroscopic surgery to find a stifle injury? Where did you have it done? Cost? |

Location: Golden Gulf Coast of Texas | I had similar issues and kept telling vets I thought it was stifle! Finally went to a vet that did the arthroscopic procedure and he had messed up the cartilage . We did PRP and now rehabbing! Cost about $2200! Wish I had done it sooner but X-rays were clean and ultrasound clean also! |

Location: Piedmont, OK | SI and whorl bone problems can also cause stifle and hock problems. There are a lot of different things that could be going on . Make sure you have a good lameness vet. |

Location: Sapulpa, OK | My horse was very similar to how you are describing yours. After many trips to the vet & actually a couple different vets, injecteded his SI joints & it made 100 percent difference! |
