How do you know what size girth to use since billets and riggin differs how do you know you are actually using the correct size girth. Is there a website or information someone could share

If you run your hand down the side of your horse you will feel a slight indentation 3" or so above the elbow about the size of your Palm. This is where you cinch should end any higher and you risk it cutting of circulation of the vain that runs above it. Any lower and it will bump you horse in the elbow. Measure from there to right between your horses legs. And then just double it. Depending on what your cinch is made of(mohair it the best imo) gotten will stretch so I would go 2" shorter. I use a 28" mohair on just about every thing....

Thanks I'm not sure in the indention your talking about mine are usually pretty high on both sides and I use 28-30 so I guess I need to go a lot smaller!
