Has anybody used a 5 Star pad without the gullet hole? I guess they are supposed to be better for high withers? Also, any 5 Star sales going on??

I saw that too. This is something I might be interested in. The contour curve on my current 5 star hits my horse in a odd spot because of his conformation. I'm thinking I might get this. Its called the self contouring pad.

Yes, they have them and I have one in stock. Wanted to check it out, too. Said it helps with saddles that tend to make a pad slide.. I haven't tried it, but do have one here.

They have the self contouring pad, but also, as an option when selecting a barrel pad you can select "no gullet hole". I haven't seen one like this
