It's attaching like that because those are in .jpeg format.... We talked about converting the other day.... it needs to be in .jpg instead. :)

Hey! So his name is Bankinonhank? As we talked about last week, my mare was at Remington and my mom used to run her horses at Remington up until this year - my mom has Frilly Fun, she's out of Bankinonfun. She's a old broodmare now but they've had lots of colts out of her and she was one hell of a runner back in the 90's. Wonder if they are related? Mind if I ask his papers?
He's beautiful and looks similiar to Frilly.... wished I could watch him run on Friday! Oh wait.... I can.... via my Racehorse app on my ipad!!! :)

Location: NE Texas | Oh, he ran last Friday. I didn't pay attention to the dates and was thinking it was this Friday. Way to go Hank!
OK - so its a ubber small world. BURBANK is the stud my mom and step-dad have used for years. They have several colts (that they will most likely be selling) out of him. I think he's there in OKC, right?
I thinking I'm going to breed my thoroughbred mare to a Quarter stud in 2017 (so I can have my first baby before I'm too old to train it since it will be 3-4 years before I can ride it). |

Actually, their best mare/brood mare now is out of Burbank - her name is Frilly Fun. They have a dark bay beautiful colt (someone was supposed to cut him last week but didn't make it out) out of Frilly... Filly made them over 200K running back in her day. She's a BIG sorrel mare - she ran against the studs and woud pass them in the stetch like they were sitting still - she could move for sure! Any who - that 2 year olds name is Frankly Fun (I named him) and her last colt is a beautiful well porportioned/muscled sorrel colt - he was born in May and will be their last colt. My mom is 70 and her husband is 83 - they just cant do it anymore and mom is selling the horses when Bob finally agrees (a few at a time) - but it appears that he's hanging on to these last few out of Frilly (Burbank) until.... until I don't know. The 2 year old isn't even halter broke. I live about 4 hours away from them or I'd go out and help them with them but it's just too far of a drive from Texas to OKC every weekend!

Yes, I remember Curtis was the guy who rode her..... but I remember there being some sort of falling out and after that he did not ride any of their horses. No telling what happend... I'm sure it gets a little tricky when there are several horses a good jockey wants to ride and he has to make a decision - I think he chose another horse over Frilly or something. I'm getting old - my memory is terrible.
But he's very nice and I can certainly see a resembalance in Hank in Filly and her offspring... they are very well porportioned thoroughbreds, just like my grey mare - love her!
Oh .. on that note. So we went to a barrel even on Saturday (just for the experince)...she did so well I decided to exibition her (even though she had not been in the indoor arena - I didn't get there in time to warm up in it), nor had she ever seen a barrel. We trotted right on it through the alley and she did well - she was a little leary of the audience/crowd behind the second barrel but moved on around it when I nudged her forward when I felt her starting to pay more attention to them than me. Very happy with her! Will keep you all udpated with our progress! :) |

Hank is put together very well, although did want to be on the fragile minded side for quite some time. He thought everything, even people were big bad monsters that were out to eat him for lunch. We had out hands full for quite some time. Very cool on your mare. Sounds like she did really good for you. She will only improve off of that! Good job, keep it up and def keep us updated. |

apprecaite it! Filly has always been laid back and cool... even after leaving the paddock area about to run...she would finally wake up right before she was put in the gates - and boy could that mare fly. I digress.
I tried to post her last two babies (since they are related to your Hank), but I keep getting some sort of error. Ironic that you're the person that help post pictures of my Grey Mare in another thread. Since I have your email I'll shoot you the pics of the last two colts. I think you're going to likey! |

Burbank is in the OK City area. His owner is a very good friend of ours. Pretty small world! That's pretty cool. What do they have as far as youngsters?? Actually, their best mare/brood mare now is out of Burbank - her name is Frilly Fun. They have a dark bay beautiful colt (someone was supposed to cut him last week but didn't make it out ) out of Frilly... Filly made them over 200K running back in her day. She's a BIG sorrel mare - she ran against the studs and woud pass them in the stetch like they were sitting still - she could move for sure! Any who - that 2 year olds name is Frankly Fun (I named him ) and her last colt is a beautiful well porportioned/muscled sorrel colt - he was born in May and will be their last colt. My mom is 70 and her husband is 83 - they just cant do it anymore and mom is selling the horses when Bob finally agrees (a few at a time ) - but it appears that he's hanging on to these last few out of Frilly (Burbank ) until.... until I don't know. The 2 year old isn't even halter broke. I live about 4 hours away from them or I'd go out and help them with them but it's just too far of a drive from Texas to OKC every weekend! Very nice mare! The same jock that rode her also rides Hank!! So we went to a barrel even on Saturday (just for the experince )...she did so well I decided to exibition her (even though she had not been in the indoor arena - I didn't get there in time to warm up in it ), nor had she ever seen a barrel. We trotted right on it through the alley and she did well - she was a little leary of the audience/crowd behind the second barrel but moved on around it when I nudged her forward when I felt her starting to pay more attention to them than me. Very happy with her! Will keep you all udpated with our progress! : ) Hank is put together very well, although did want to be on the fragile minded side for quite some time.
I digress. I tried to post her last two babies (since they are related to your Hank ), but I keep getting some sort of error. Ironic that you're the person that help post pictures of my Grey Mare in another thread. Since I have your email I'll shoot you the pics of the last two colts. I think you're going to likey!
Ok. I'll see if I can get them posted. |

I thinking I'm going to breed my thoroughbred mare to a Quarter stud in 2017 (so I can have my first baby before I'm too old to train it since it will be 3-4 years before I can ride it). I'll let you know if they have to part with him. I'm sure he'll be a challenge, esp. since they haven't messed with him much. His neck is getting thick so I hope they either get him in training to see what he can do to keep him as a stud or go ahead and cut him and still get him in training - or sell him to someone who will do something with him. |

Thank you! I think this colt is going to progress nicely. Although we are going to take our time with him. He really impressed me the other day how grown up he acted! Good job on starting him with the right foundation. |
