I am planning to go back to College next semester to start working towards my masters degree, I have signed up for the Curriculam and instruction program.... the professor recommended taking a C&I class and an elective or two for this semester..... my question is...I have a major in history and minor in Geography.... so do my electives need to be related to these or are there C&I electives??? I've been out of college so long I'm not sure how this works... I'm waiting to hear back from the advisor but it's been several days and I need to sign up!

Im a veteran teacher out here in CA. Im not sure on your question. Usually if your getting your masters in Curriculum and Instruction you already have your content knowledge taken care of. Having said that, in CA it doesn't matter what you get your masters in, they have to increase your salary no matter what. Out here the difference between having a masters and not is about a 20,000 difference annually in salary. Now if you are not highly qualified according to NCLB, thats a different story. Hope that helps.
