I've been a lover of 5star pads for years now, but I just bought a Cactus CJ because I needed the flared bars for one of my mares. Now I have all this excess pad that I can't stand. I'm wondering what if anyone knows a particular NICE wool/felt pad that fits better under these. Even 5Stars round skirt pad is too much IMO. I'm tempted to cut one of mine down...am I stupid for trying that? Opinions/ideas please.

I have a CJ and I needed like u do for the wide bar flare, I use the Classic Equine Sensorflex and I have an Ed Wright pad, I have also used the CJ pad by Professional choice....

You can get a 5 Star custom made to the size that you want. You just have to get them the shape & measurements.
And if money is a problem .... the resale on your other/older 5 star is ALWAYS good in internet land ... so you could sell the old one to belay costs on the new one ...

Yes, we can get any 5 Star pad cut to your specifications if you want to go that route. And as someone said, any of your used ones could be posted on our Used 5 Star page on FB.
