Location: Somewhere....Not Sure | What would be the best stallion to breed this mare to http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/mississippi+hippi she is a daughter of Doctor Wood and out of a Count Hickory mare. She is small 14.1hh so I was thinking I need to breed to a stallion with some height, but not sure what to cross her on bloodlines wise. Would like to stay around 2000 or less on the stud fee. Thanks!

| Depending on your budget I would cross her with some speed. I am actually on the opposite side from you.. I have a stallion bred similar that I am crossing with speed horses. I have ran a lot of horses crossed with very similar bloodlines with Go Man GO, FireWater Flit, etc. These are my favorite and if you look at stallion bloodlines, conformation etc you can usually find well bred put together stallions who aren't pricey. Just remember its not the bloodlines that make the horse rather the horse that makes the bloodlines.

Location: Gainesville, TX | Very nice foundation bred mare. I would consider Sweet First Down. He's new to Future Fortunes and a colt buy him has been winning in the futurities with Tiany Schuster lately.

Location: Somewhere....Not Sure | Ok, trying to post a few pict. I dont have an actual profile shot of her but hopefully here are a few that show her. She is my ranch "pony" ,we have commercial and brahman cattle and she is a cow machine and my goto horse for gathering pastures and sorting.

If so I would stay away from the running lines.
By the way she is beautiful. I am serious about wanting her. If you ever sell her let me know!

Location: Somewhere....Not Sure | Keeping the cow isnt a big deal to me, she has a solid cowhorse pedigree so I was figuring crossing on some run to get some speed. She is fast, but pasture fast and barrel horse fast I realize are different. I use her as a ranch horse because she is quick and catty. Thank you WhiteBoy for the compliment. |

Thank you, she is just cute cause of the color, put her as a sorrel and most probably wouldnt look twice at her. I bought her as a long yearling / 2yr old just off of papers. I didnt see her and was told she was small and was being sent home from the cutting trainers. I didnt realize just how small..... doesnt matter though she is a spitfire and will work her heart out, she never bobbles on a days work. |
