My colt is on adequan, my good horse is on pentosan / and polyglycan for arthritis. I also feed a feed through. I'm going to drop the feed through but I can't decide if I should just put both horses on pentosan or keep the colt on adequan. I'm getting a headache! Lol any suggestions? Thanks.

I sware by adequan for my gelding who NEEDS it in order not to be lame. I use it in conjunction with Platinum with both my horses, one of whom is not on adequan or anything else. Hoping the Platinum keeps her going longer than if she was on nothing before she will need adequan or something similar. But I agree that a feed through is shown to not do very much, MAYBE just joint support, but it typically isn't going to fix any problems, so unless it's an all around like Platinum, it's probably not worth it. That's why there not on Platinum CJ!

The pentosan polyglycan combo for my good horse is working and won't change. I just want to do what's absolutely best for my youngster. He is a big investment for me.

I am going thru the same thing, trying to decide what to put my 7 yr gelding on. Honestly there is so much out there its overwhelming but I think I have decided on Equipride (for overall health) and pentosan for his joints.
