Member Posts: 20	Does anyone know what wild cause this/how to fix it? He is a 12 year old quarter horse. He will just randomly stop during the pattern and back up. He has been bet checked...very front endy.

Married to a Louie Lover Posts: 3303	Have you had a vet, chiro, etc look at him to clear him of pain issues? Mine likes to stop and back up from time to time when we are slow working - usually at the top of the pattern though not in it. Typically it is a sign to me that he's a little overwhelmed and needs a minute to take a break and decompress. Initially though I would think something hurts.
