I was wondering if those that ride in an Ultra Rocket or Rocket could post photos of the horses you are using it for. I have a high withered mare that I bought a Rocket for but it kept sliding back on her so I bought the Ultra Rocket and it is doing the same thing. I just wanted to compare her to some of the horse people have had success riding in with the Rocket type tree.
Thank You!

I don't have a picture of my current mare un-saddled that I am using the rocket on, but these are a couple horses I used to have that fit the rocket as well.

I had the same thing going on with my Rocket and Charon said the gullet was too narrow and I needed an Ultra Rocket... My Rocket was causing my horse's back to get sore and I didn't have time to wait for one so I decided to just go with a Crown C and a 9" Gullet.... needless to say my horse is filling out behind his shoulders and my saddle is not sliding back.

Thank You very much for the photos! I think I can see what is going wrong with my mare from seeing the photos of both of yours. Even though my mare has the high withers, she still has a straight back so I'm thinking it has too much twist for her. It sticks up in the back also when I have it cinched in place.

My ProMax fits high withered horses.  I had a half TB that had very prominent withers and it fit him better than anything else I could find.

Yeah that is the same problem I am running into. I was told if the Caldwell's slide back it is mostly likely cause the gullet is too narrow so that is why I went with the Ultra but it slides back as well and just recently my mare acts like it pinches her at times. She will be riding along and then start throwing her head up and act likes she wants to buck. I have a Maxxed Out I tried on her last night and she seemed much happier so I just wanted to double check everyone's opinion before I decide to sell my Ultra Rocket since it took forever to find.

I was experimenting with her last night and threw my Maxxed Out on her to see what would happen and she seemed to be much happier with it. I think sometimes their website is misleading in the fact that just because they have the high withers doesn't necessarily mean they need the rocket. I feel it has more to do with the shape of their back.

That's why I went with the Crown C... I had sold both of my Caldwell's and I had our state finals in a week and a half with no saddle. The Ultra Rockets were too hard to come by and I didn't have time to have one made.
