I just wanted to post a happy thread. I have to tell somebody! My mare that has been off for 6 months for numerous issues is finally over her last hurdle! We have been ponying at the walk for a week now. Taking it extra slow as to not mess it up. I'm soooo excited.

Congratulations!! Persevarance is paying off!!. My girl had potamac fever and got really sick bad and it went south into her feet. He was all for putting her down. I pulled her off pasture and she became the babysitter to my weanling. Cold water hosing daily and lots of mud. Buted 4 grams a day took 2 months for her to stand on her feet for more than a few minutes. Today she is walking and standing all day not so ouchy and only 1 gram of bute and lots of mud. I may be saying the same thing very soon.
