Reviews/Differences/Pros/Cons on these two products? I'm wondering which I should get for my competitive 17 y/o barrel/pole horse. They would be used for trailering and for standing (in the stall or tied to the trailer...sometimes even on gravel or concrete). Also, should I get 2 (for just the front hooves) or 4 (for all four hooves)? (BTW--I know that there is already a forum on this topic...I have already read it...I was just hoping for some more thoughts/opinions/ideas/etc.!) Thanks! :-)
If you want to ride in them get the Easyboots, if you want to have them for trailering, stalling and standing on concrete or gravel then get the Softrides. I personally dont like the Easyboots for stalling & trailering as they fit tighter and their feet get too warm.
Soft Rides!! You won't regret investing in some Soft Rides. I promise you.
If you're going to use them just for hauling and stalling, you can get away with fronts only. If you're going to be standing on gravel/concrete, I would boot all the way around.
Soft Ride has great customer service. Measure your horse a few times and then order the size that's closest. My horse actually enjoys his "squishy boots" and will pick his feet up to get them on.
Soft rides with the blue insert alleviates pressure on the dft when hauling also works as a great shock absorber. Wonderful boots I suggest getting 4 especially if your horse is stalled or standing on pavement for long periods of time.
I believe the easy boot tx are the treatment boots or soaker boots these boots are only good for poulticing and don't stay on well. I have a couple but actually like the Davis poulticing boots better as they have felt in the bottom and don't come off near as easy.
For riding horses in for barefoot horses I like the old macs as they don't rub the gators are easy to apply and you do not have to be as precise on fitting as you do the easy boots. They also stay on better then the easy boots. I have tried all brands have 6 yr old old macs going strong.

Easy Boot RX are actually the Easy Boot equivalent of Soft Rides. They also have inserts and were designed to be along the same lines as Soft Rides.
I recommend Soft Rides because that is what I have and use and really like.
You don't use either the Easy Boot or the Soft Rides for riding. Just for trailer/stall/light turnout.
I haven't used the Easyboots but the Softrides are literally saving my horse right now. He has so much hoof missing he'd be in pain trying to walk around if it weren't for that padding. I'm just renting them from my vet but will definitely buy a set of 4 when I have some extra $$$$ and am hauling more.
