My mother is thinking about getting rid of her land line. I am the only one that she calls on it. Everyone else she calls on her cell phone so it makes sense. The only problem is that she doesn't keep it in her pocket all of the time and I don't know if she would hear it if she is a different area of the house.
For all of you techy people, is there a way to connect her cell phone so that it will ring in the house like the land line phone?

Thanks. That looks like exactly what I am looking for. I had asked the mobile phone guy at Best Buy and he looked at me like I had a third eye. Glad to know I am not crazy.

We are paying $75.00 for a land line so we can get 98687676 marketing sales calls a day. My husband hates cell phones so he likes his land line that he uses once a day.. I would love to throw it through the window.

Just for informational purposes... Those things have a plug...... both into the wall and the back of the phone..... LOL!!!! I used to pull both out just to make sure it would not wake me up...

Has anyone ever tried the gadget linked above? Or something like it? Heck I am thinking about getting rid of our landline too. We have our internet service thru the telephone company so we would still have some sort of phone bill.

Double check on IF your phone is really needed for the internet. That is what our phone company told us for years .... then when their internet service got so dang crappy that it wasn't even functioning most of the time, & I was able to get out of their stupid contract, I told them I wanted to drop the phone too & get out of that contract due to the internet issues. THEN she tells me that we haven't had to have a landline for internet for like 5 years!!! I told her that is NOT what they have told me all along, so others had lied to me to get my phone line business. I got out of that contract too & now only have my cell. Don't miss all the solicitors' calls one bit! LOL
