I'm looking at custom ordering a Marlene McRae saddle and Reinsman just started making these saddles along with Cactus. Right now it's about $600 cheaper to order the Reinsman brand. Any thoughts or opinions on who I should go with? Want to make sure I get the best quality. Thanks for your opinions!
I've never had an issue with a reinsman product and really like the saddles that I've checked out, I just a haven't bought myself one yet! I've never heard anybody that rides one complain about it either.
On the other hand I had a charmayne james cactus and I HATED that thing lol. It's quality was ok I just hated the saddle.

I ride Cactus CJ saddles and have 3 of them. This past spring I had a chance to compare a new Reinsman CJ to my Cactus CJ saddles. Hands down the Cactus was much better quality leather and craftsmanship.
Currently in the process of doing the same thing. Custom ordering a new Marlene McRae Special Effx and really interested to know the difference! Please help! Also any feedback on the saddle I would love to here!
From what I've always understood is that the trees are Marlenes so no matter who makes it the tree is the same. I saw a few Reinsman saddles and I wasn't impressed. You need to try to see both and decide for yourself, but I thought Reinsman is the only company now making her saddle.

I ordered a Reinsman Marlene and it was too narrow for my horse.
I now have a Cactus Marlene and it fits him nicely. I paid about $200 more for the Cactus model (practically new). The leather is better quality then the Reinsman.
