| in yalls opinion, what are race bred horses that are quiet and that are workers. Example, ivory james, some corona cartels. Horses, that have the speed, that are quiet and that work. Hope yall understand. Let us get a long list. I know some of race bred that are a quiet as working bred. I always had good luck with easy jet grand get, would peel, paint off the barrel. Then lady bugs moon mare was a worker. I like both old and new lines. |

Location: Wonderful Wyoming | My Burrs First Down was. He was as honest as the day was long and so are his offspring. Real good work ethic and absolutely no quit. I love a horse with try. I have heard that is a First Down Dash trait. My mares have been scattered from ranch bred, Easy Jet g-daughters, lots of Beduino, Sixarun, Docs Oak, Mr Dark Jet, Takin On The Cash etc. Now I have a Special Leader, A Classic Dash and Ivory James in foal to him for his last foal crop. Of all his babies there was only one we just couldn't stand and it was out of a Stage Bar Ted daughter and I now suspect she had PSSM and I bet he did too. He also was snake bit on the nose as a 2 yr old and acted fried ever since that.
So to get down to it, I personally am a huge huge fan of anything FDD g-son/daughter or closer. I have heard Corona Cartels are very user friendly and really like people. Own get are just too pricey to end up in the arena on a regular basis, but his sons PYC and Ivory James are really making a name for themselves. My IJ filly had a track injury so we just use her for a broodmare, but I have never seen a young filly with the mind of a been there done that horse at so young an age. |

| I have a son of Special Leader and so far his colts want to work and have a cool style on the barrels. I have one who is out of a cow bred mare who I think is going to be pretty special all the rest are race bred but are turning machines. I love love these colts and hope they keep showing me the same good qualities as we start getting more of them out there. |

Bugs alive! I had a son (BA75/Ichibon)that didn't know the word quit. He hated getting in trouble. Very sensitive and loving. He wasn't a brush horse really, but would work for me anyway all day long. It didn't matter what we did, trairoding, barrels or working cows, he was up for it. Love and miss my boy. |

| I love, love, love my FDD boys. I have 2 grandsons, same sire. They are hard workers and want to please. The 6 yr old is double bred FDD and was a rescue for me. His dam is an own daughter of Holland Ease out of a Shawnee Bug mare. I got him in March of this year, he was unbroke so I knew it was a gamble. He is the absolute kindest, smartest, horse I've ever worked with. No buck, no bite. I can haul him anywhere, anytime and he rides, stands tied like an old pro! I also have a 3 yr old Ivory James out of Runaway Winner daughter. He is very smart and athletic. Absolutely LOVES people and quite a character. I'm just now 're-starting him bc he just came off track in July and he's been turned out to just be a horse. So far I'm impressed :) I also have a Jet Cartel (deceased) gelding out of same Runaway Winner mare. They are 3/4 brothers and are the same. I had another Jet Cartel out of daughter of streak in la Jolla she was catty, quick and fast learner. I sold her back to her breeders bc she is black typed and a $$ earner on track. They are going to breed her |

Location: So. Cali. | I have an FDD paternal grand daughter (direct daughter of Dash Thru Traffic) out of a daughter of Strawfly Special (and yes she's got a little Beduino in there too) IMO she rarely ever gets hot at a race, the worse is she can get a little strong when you start to warm her up, but she has gotten very good at settling down. LOVES to work, have a job, be doing something and learning. I've put beginners on her in my arena, novice on her for trail rides, I use her for ponying my other finished barrel horses, etc. She has a very versatile mind on her but gets the job done when asked at the same time.

| We have some friends with 2 and 3 year olds out of Best Advice. Great minds, chase cows in the mountains, SPEED, and great to be around. From what we have been hearing these are pretty common trait in his colts. Son of Corona Cartel, mother is Bully Bullion and Easy Jet.

We have a colt in training for our very own BB Jenbabe...this colt is the quietest, best minded boy. He's by Desirio and out of a Vital Sign mare.
His dam is also a granddaughter of BA75. He is my first experience with Strawfly Special and Sixarun, but we've had quite a few BA75 and The Signature and they've all had good minds. I've been very impressed with this colt so far and very excited to see what he can do, and hopefully see what he can produce in the future! |

My husband's old rope horse is BA75, and he is what made me fall in love with the line. I searched and searched for granddaughters and was able to find a couple. Now I have 3 great granddaughters and two great grandsons and I'm so excited for them. Our old guy was the type that gave 110% whether he was doing a job or walking down the rode. He wasn't the most laid back, but I think that was because of how he was broke. All of my grand and great grand get have been very friendly and good minded. My 6 year old is the kind that I can make a run then toss my son in the saddle and let him ride her to cool her out. Mine are all still young, but I'm impressed with them so far. Definitely one of my favorite lines. |

Location: Texas | I have a daughter of Reckless Dash out of a nice producing daughter of Bugs Alive in 75. That makes her a DFC and BA75 granddaughter. She is SUPER talented, athletic, hunts a barrel. I absolutely love her weanling filly by first down french. Her only fault in my opinion is she does not eat well on the road. I pretty much need to plan for her to live on alfalfa when we are away from home because it doesn't take much for her to get off her feed.
I really like my Strawflyin Buds daughter. She's out of a Rare Form mare. She is the most talented horse I've ever been on. I've never almost flown off the back of a horse before running home and she's almost left me like that, haha. She's more honest than my RD mare and more mentally chilled out as far as hauling goes. She never goes off feed when we are away from home.
Our Rare Bar X The Ole Man daughter is a barrel hunting/turning fool. You can't push her past a barrel. She's a cool mare. She's won close to $30,000 running barrels.

Location: WI | I think any horse that has been on the track with more than 5 starts and a win record is a worker. There are many reasons a horse may have 1 or 2 starts, some not their fault, but I bet more often than not, they can't perform, can't take the pressure, are slow, etc.
Mine off the track has a great work ethic, he's a son of Oak Tree Special. He raced and won over 3 years - 12 starts total. You know a horse like that can handle training, performing, etc. |

This colt has a very nice work ethic. We've only had him for about 3 weeks and babies that have been broke and galloping for 60+ days are acting worse than he is. Ducking, diving, bucking. This colt gallops with them, and he never bats an eye at their shenanigans. You are going to have an awesome horse when it's all said and done. |

I want to put in a plug for Flit Bar anything...I've had Flit Bar Beggars, Vans Flit Bar etc, and now I have a Firewater Flit back a generation/Doc Bar mare...very solid and a hard worker. |

Chicks Beduino is great as long it's the right cross. There are some psychos out there.
I had a Special Leader/Bully Bullion that was dumber than a post and couldn't comprehend a thing. All run, no brain.

| I own one own son of Ivory James. His dam is an own daughter of Runaway Winner out of TB mare. He has the best mind, smart, and athletic. Sold his full sister at TQHA yearling sale and she was just like him. I had a client that helped collect Ivory and she said he was an amazing creature. Great mind and beautiful. I have yet to see one ugly Ivory James baby. I work for race horse people and handle a multitude of bloodlines. The FDD grandget are my faves. |
