Location: In a happy place | Let me start off with I am not posting this to the SS threads because this is not a SS gift. My mail lady came to my door today with this package I was not expecting. Inside is the most beautiful picture of my stud horse Genuine Six. From Jennifer. She had Sara Jean do this some time back. I am just now able to post a huge thank you because I have not been able to stop crying. I cannot find the words Jennifer to thank you enough and thank you to Sara Jean too. That someone could be so kind and thoughtful is just amazing. And Sara Jean how you captured him is beyond awesome. I know Sara Jean posts pictures of her art work on here and it looks beautiful but until you have seen one in person you have no idea just how good she is. Studder's eyes and ears are so real like it is like having him in the room with you. I am just blown away by the whole thing. You are so kind to me and I owe you. Now I know all of you that know Jennifer think she is a comedian here on BHW. But what you don't know and I didn't either is that she can be so eloquent with words. The note she sent with brings me to tears everytime I read it and I have read it often this afternoon. I will cherish this note forever. As a matter of fact I may frame it too. And yes Jennifer the Streakin Six studs are so very special. Till you have had one you will never understand. Studder was the smartest horse I have ever been around. I have told it many times it was like he was human and knew me better than any person ever had. He was my best friend. He was with me during the lowest point in my life. I only hope he knew how much I loved him. We both had it pretty rough the last couple of years of his life but he was a trooper. He had such a huge heart. In a way I feel like I let him down but I did the best I could considering the circumstances. I will live vicariously through you Jennifer and El Scorcho. There will always be a special place in my heart for a Streakin Six stud. I hope your colts go on to make super barrel horses. Love my picture. Love you Jennifer and Sara Jean. You made an old lady so happy today. |

Location: 31 lengths farms | THIS is why their is a Barrel Horse Forum for those who questioned it earlier!!! THIS right here!!!!
And the several pages of people that supported me by simply reading or suggesting things for the last 6 months for my little mare with kidney stones. Regardless of whether the topic is about barrel horses that day, its these moments that truly stand out.
Thank you for sharing SHR!!!! |

Merry Christmas to all..........and a Happy Healthy New Year! |

Location: In a happy place | It will have to be Jennifer that will help me get a picture on here. I don't know if Sara Jean would have one or not. I will see how soon Jennifer can get this done for me. Also Roxie I will send her pictures of Cloudy and Howdy so you can see what the little munchkins look like. I was informed last week that Howdy is not a Rat Terrorist....he is a Toy Fox Terrier. I think they were right. Which is okay too. He is just too cute for words anyway. Sara Jean you are a good secret keeper!!! How the two of you did this I will never be able to imagine. I am just excited beyond words.

Aww... How wonderful!!!
Studder was an amazing horse. His kindness and love lives on in his son Boo. I'm honored to enjoy it every day.
BTW... Did you know that another Studder son was the second highest seller at the Return of the Remuda sale this year? He sold for 50k. Boo and I are so proud of our brother by another mother. |

Hey good to hear from you and Studder's son Boo! Yes one of Studder's sons sold for $50,000 at the Return To the Remuda sale. He actually tied for high selling horse with a horse from the Pitchfork. And if I remember correctly he had another son sell for $35,000 at the same sale. I hope their owners enjoy them. I think of you and Boo often. |
