This fall, winter has really hit me hard. The decision to sell my farm getting it ready to up for sale on the spring, this was my husband and my dream place he has been gone 12 yrs and a 4 bedroom 40 acres is just getting to much for a woman in her mid 50's to keep up with. I need to get motivated have gain back 10 lbs of the original 35 I lost. I am getting less than 5 hours of sleep at a time wake up and my mind just races and all the work that is waiting for me to do. I know that I am depressed but have pulled out of these before. I have a new horse this spring to run but the motivation is just not there.

I'm so sorry you are going through this. You are overwhelmed and that can get scary. I would suggest making a list of things you need to do and work on them one at a time. Don't look at the big picture. Look at what is most important and what needs to be done first. Concentrate on nothing else but that. Then, tomorrow look at the next thing on your list. Scratch them off as they are completed and add to the bottom.  This will get better. Maybe you should talk to someone too. Depression is an evil little bugger, but it is treatable and there is life after all of this passes.

Many prayers and hugs. Be strong.

Are you going to be buying a new place? Something smaller like 10 acres or so? Don't look at it as losing a part of the past. Look at it as moving forward and a new chapter of your life. Be excited for what the future holds and everything that has to be done with your currant house and property is just steps to get you to your new dream.
Start by de-cluttering. You can rent a small storage unite for pretty cheap and box up what you intend to keep that's not a necessity to live. The rest have a yard/moving sale. Even if it's now in the winter you can designate a room in the house. Once most of the "stuff" we all tend to accumulate over the years is gone, out of the way so much will be cleared out and out of the way it will all of a sudden look a whole lot cleaner and not look quite so over whelming. You can also hire some high school kids, or boy scouts for help. Good luck to you. I'm excited for you for your new adventure.

I hope the new year is better for you.  Hang on to that horse!  Come spring time you may get more excited.
I have had a really rough last two years.  Won't go into details but had to leave a place I had lived at for the last 27 years.  I bought 10 acres with a small house.  It is so much easier to take care of.  Really a relief.  I hope this gets easier for you as it has for me.  You have gotten a lot of really good suggestions here.

Depression can get rough.  Hugs and prayers lady - hang in there.  Talk to someone.  Prioritize the heck outa the things you need to accomplish and focus on one of them until it is completed.  There can be a ton of satisfaction in just scribbling the items down, then scratching them off as you accomplish and complete the tasks.

Know that you aren't alone.  Feel free to talk and PM me if ya want.

This time of year can be hard. Try taking vitamin D. 5000 to 10000 units. This helps to make up for sunlight deficiency.
This helps with that, I cant get out of bed, let me sleep more.
I also take B12.

As said, think more of it has a new chapter of your life. Embrace the change and the moving forward. Yes it is hard, but it's harder to hang on to the past. Prayers and hugs!!! YOU CAN DO IT!
