Location: Down South | 2014 for me was also filled with hurt, pain, loss and emotional struggle after the passing of my Mom. We also lost a beloved horse that gave my daughter her first taste of winning; 2 other loved pets, 2 burglaries of personal property.... it's just been a trying year. I pray for a much better 2015 for myself and everyone else. My oldest daughter is getting married in September so I've got a wedding to plan. HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE.!! |

Location: Montana | 2014 has definitely been interesting for us. I got back into competing, which has been a LOT of fun, and I got my new gelding which I'm greatly looking forward to training, I also got my new car that I ordered and love it, and overall had a pretty nice year. The last month, however, has been kind of tumultous and definitely interesting, and not in a good way. I hope for a great next year (2015 is the year of the Goat in Chinese zodiac, and I'm a goat! LOL) and have lots of fun and good things happen. Wishing you all many blessings in 2015! Happy New Year! |

Location: North Dakota | This year has been quite a mix for me. I celebrated a year aniversary at my job which I really enjoy and allows me to have my horses. I gave up hope on one of my horses recovering but I purchased the most amazing horse I've ever met and we were both introduced to mounted shooting. I am looking forward to learning with Cash and competing in 2015! I'm also looking forward to getting surgery to finally get my body functioning properly and under control. |

Location: Wonderful Wyoming | There are always positives in every year. My family has stayed healthy, business is good, but as far as horses 2013 sucked and 2014 SUCKED. I am running out of horses to get hurt or die so hopefully 2015 will be better. I am an optimist even at the worst of times (sometimes I have to remind myself). I want my show horse to heal from whatever ails him, riding a really nice stud for a friend and hope to get someone to put some riding on my youngsters so I can hop on and start the training. |

Location: DUMPING CATS AND PIGS IN TEXAS :) | Well, with the push and help from great friends, I'm going after IT again. I am trying my best to get two of my mares bred to outside racing stallions, Five Bar Cartel and Dashin Bye. We have a filly in the LG Pro Classic Sale who is with a trainer right now and really doing great. This will be our first time selling at a barrel sale period. We are breeding El Scorcho out for the first time. That is a lot of extra work, but it is very exciting. I have a foal due by Whiteboy's mare this year that will give 3 x to Sun Frost and 3 x Driftwood Ike, then we're sending her to Utah with a little Scorcho on board for him. I've never dealt with this line, so majorly excited to see that one. Plus, I'm picking up a Doc O Dynamite daughter with 2 x to Doc O Lena and out of a daughter of Peppy San Badger this weekend. This will be Bryan and I's first horse together :) Annnnndddd, I've started attempting to barrel race on Scorcho. He's turning 18 and this is both of our first attempt at the barrels lol. I have a coming 2 year old filly of his on the back burner to get broke and trained as my real barrel horse. Soooo, lot's of stuff scheduled for 2015! It's exciting and scary and.......... :)

Location: NE Texas | I'm ready for 2015 and am excited about all it's going to bring. I have a futurity horse this year that is very talented and though we will only go to the close ones, i'm very excited to see what all he gets done. I'm so thankful to Gunnar for taking the reins this winter to get him seasoned and ready for the spring futurities! He's done a great job getting this colt prepared.
I also have a 2 YO and 3 YO El Scorcho babies that i'm excited about getting started under saddle and going on with. The Rail Ditch has impressed me with everything i've thrown at her and my mouth is watering to get her started. Scorchin Bayou (who is technically my mom's horse) has really done well for what little I have gotten to mess with him so far and I know she is looking forward to getting him started as well.
My husband and I have picked up the remodeling of our house we started last year and we actually finished a room this time. The bathroom reno is complete and turned out even better than I expected (before and after pics below), so hopefully in the next couple of months we can get the kitchen and laundry room knocked out as well and be ready to enjoy these colts when spring gets here!!! Happy 2015!

Thanks so much! We have worked our butts off. We started last Saturday and have had every imaginable set back, but we got it done and I am very happy with it. The tub was the easiest part and I do love how it turned out. Hopefully my body will eventually quit hurting and we can get the rest done without me feeling like i'm 90 years old before I go to bed. LOL |
