Location: waiting for the thaw | What the overlooked must haves in a LQ that make life better? Such as generator switch by bed, hat racks, easy acces to water pump to winterize???
Please help me think of things to not over look. TIA |

Location: where ever my L/Q trl is parked | I had a few different L/Q, never one I have actually designed though. But I have found no matter what you deem necessary and/or what size it's never big enough or long enough or have enough storage. Then if you get that perfect trailer it's then too dang heavy.

| To have the tv/DVD to run on battery alone. I love this feature in mine.
Battery bypass switch so you don't have to disconnect the batteries during the winter.
Trailer door caddys, didn't realize this is not a standard item when I ordered mine.
Water tanks for horses, total I have 125 gallons in 3 different tanks
Tack room, I have a side tack, with I could have had a walk through tack in the front, I also have a back tack compartment I gutted and keep my hay 6 squares and bags of feed. This is awesome for me as I can load it myself, I don't have to use a tractor to get it on the hay rack.
I would go with a hay pod instead of hay rack if I had to do it all over again |

Heat tape on your plumbing so you can just plug the pipes in

I like to add another plug in the nose so you have one on each side to plug in your phone for your alarm, then it is in your side, I add another plug in the kitchen area and if you have a slide one is nice in there as well. The central vac is a great option if you go for weekends and want a quick and easy cleanup. Depending on your floor plan, there are different things I like to add. Ciongrata and enjoy it when it comes in! |

Light switches by the bed
Hat racks OR cupboards under the couch large enough to fit a hat can or box
Walk through door to mid tack - can use mid tack as a mud room then :)
Personally not a big fan of lots of cabinets up by the bed...all they're really good for is storing blankets
Larger closet area than I've seen in most. I HATE wrinkled shirts
Cabinet/closet next to the door to throw boots in
Personally I'd take more counter space over a stove top
Shelf in front of the mirror to set a makeup bag on while you're getting ready |

Great ideas...also go with the haypod, like someone else said.....and if you do an awning, be sure you get the electric upgrade...so easy to push a button (and absolutely get an alumagard cover for the awning or the sun and pulling under trees etc, will eat it alive....10 gallon water heater.....rain sensor on bathroom vent..... |

I got a cook top with a counter over it so I didn't lose counter space but if I had to do it over, I wouldn't have gotten the cook top - I have a portable electric burner that I use outside more often. An electric skillet would probably work great too. |
