| I've never road in a Caldwell but most that I know of that have tried a PSC tend to switch from a Caldwell. In my experience at least. So, with that being said I'll speak about my experience with PSC.
I've never ordered a custom saddle before. I ended up winning a $250 gift card to use on a custom PSC. I waited and got with Kari after a couple of months. I had SO many questions, I don't know how she has the patience for my plethora (and probably duplicate ones) questions. She was quick and very helpful. Not to mention I sent her like five different forms because I couldn't make up my mind. I was able to go out there and actually meet her. She took so much time by showing me her trees and just telling me how they work, Setting them on horses back and comparing to other trees. She let me ride in her saddle while I was out there to make sure that I liked it and had the right size. I actually got my logo on my saddle and she called me up to ask me to make sure what was on the form was what I wanted. she talked to me about some options and I ended up changing what I was originally going to get. I don't know how the tooler got the detail in my logo that he did but it is just gorgeous and I'm so happy she called me and had me change it before it went into the final part. Then after the tooling she called me again and went over some painting options and made sure what I wanted with the painting was what was on my form and talk to me again about some other options. I had talked to her about what I liked and kind of what I wanted and she was trying to get a feel for what I really liked and the style. she was telling me what she thought I would like better. I am so happy she did she sent me a picture of it painted and it is is unbelievable. I don't think a company like Caldwell would have taken those steps that Kari did in making sure I got exactly what I wanted and I was going to be so happy with what I got. They are so comfortable to ride and I felt like I could ride all day long in it and I would never get sore (I've been out for a while.) I felt like my posture was better I had previously written in the textan and it kind of threw my feet back. I felt balanced in this saddle, felt like my feet were right where they needed to be.
The quality of the saddle is impeccable. The leather is just so soft. They LAST!
I know everyone has their own opinion on Saddles and you really have to find what works for you. I just know that the time and effort that Kari put into just me and my saddle and really focusing on what I wanted I don't feel like I would get with a company like Caldwell.

Location: MD | I have sat in quite a few PSC saddles and have to say that even when sitting in client's saddles that were custom for them, are far too small for me, or different from the options on my own, I still find them comfortable. The quality and customer service from PSC is second to none! |

Location: East Texas | I'm glad to hear everyone loves them like they do they caldwells. I have been searching for another Caldwell, but after trying to buy one on here multiple times and the lady would not return my calls or emails, I decided to try the PSC that I found. It's shipping to me today and I'm excited to test it out. |

Location: MN | AfleetEquine's experience sounds right on target! I will add, I was a die hard for the saddles I used to ride in. Now that I have a PSC, I don't care for my old brand and am trying to be patient with replacing it! |

Location: Where I am happiest | My husband custom ordered a Caldwell for me last spring for my birthday and anniversary present. They were awsome to deal with! They spent alot of time with me, helping me with the order, listening to me with what my wants and concernes were, made suggestions, and went the extra mile to get the fit for my horse right. When we got the saddle they were faster then their estimated time. I rode a clinic in that saddle that first weekend and it rode awsome! Fit my horse like a glove. I didnt get sore at all and it sure sat me right. I felt secure, and it was absolutelly beautiful!! This comming from someone who hadnt been on a horse for years, ever since my accident. That says alot. I love my Caldwell and they went above and beyond taking care of me. |

| LOVE my Caldwells. Charon and team were fantastic in helping with my custom order. In searching for my second saddle I sent them pics of that horse, they didn't have his tree and saddle seat size in stock but were so helpful in telling me about used ones for sale by previous customers even though I was not purchasing from them. |

Quality.
PSC no longer makes the H3s.
The H3 was still a high end saddle, but not as high as the PSC from my understanding.

I think H3 to PSC was just a name change because Kari went out of parternship with a few people and is doing it alone now. You would have to ask Kari but that is my understanding. I had a H3 and recently sold it to get a different tree and now have a PSC and I don't see a difference.... |

Location: Georgia | I rode in older caldwells for years. I got my first H3 PSC last spring and I am so glad I bought it. I've tried a lot of the name brand saddles; Double J, Deb Sibley, and Caldwell. My H3 is by far my favorite saddle, I loved it so much I ordered a new PSC from Kari. She great to work with. The H3 is a line of saddles from PSC, kinda like how Double J produces the Pozzi saddles. As far as I know the H3s are no longer being produced, but they are very nice saddles. |

You can still order an H3 from the Hodges. I'm pretty sure its not a PSC saddle anymore though.

I had one of the very first H3, I agree Kari is AWESOME to work with and I admit I prob am not:) I am just a little OCD and it is hard to order one and not know what the finished product will be. Anyhow, I would not say comparible to Caldwell as far as craftsmanship but close. The rise in the ground seat was not great but I sent it back and they tried to fix it. It was like a softball just wadded up in my crotch. Above all else, IMO it is the tree selecction that sets caldwell apart. H3 used to only offer 2. I think now PSC offers 4. |

Location: Desert Land | I tried a couple PSC's and they do not compare to a Caldwell in any way other than they look like similar - but the tooling on the PSC was was not very good. The quality was NOT the same. I will gladly pay a little more to get the real deal. I think the PSC is overpriced for what it is - but that is my personal opinion. I know others disagree. |

| I completely agree. The PSC's look the same but definitely are not the same quality as a Caldwell. Kari was very helpful and nice to talk to but once I paid for the saddle and my check had already cleared it took at least 2 weeks or more before it got shipped. When I got the saddle it was in a box that you could have fit 3 saddles in with absolutely no padding or protection. I was extremely disappointed especially after what I paid for it.
I know some people don't find Caldwell to be very helpful but I have nothing but good to say about my experience with them. I have pestered them to death about trying to find the correct saddle to fit my horses and they are always more than willing to help and offer advice. |

| I would like to say that I talked to Sharon on the phone for 45 minutes this morning. She was nice and extremely helpful. She agreed to help me find a used saddle that would fit my mare. She told me how to get pictures that would help her to see my mares back and that in turn would help me get the right size saddle for my horse. I think this is going up and above the call to help someone. She didn't try to push a new saddle sell, just offered to help in any way that she could to take care of me and my horse. I would call this lady ( Sharon ) a professional business woman. |
