If so how? What did you use and did it turn out ok? I bought and older marth josey a few weeks ago it has that pea yellow seat and it just looks dated and nasty, would like to go brown or black.

They make a suede dye that you can buy at Tandy's, Springfield Leather, etc. You "can" dye suede saddle seats ..... BUT......you take the chance of it rubbing off on your pants when you ride.

You might consider having the seat replaced. There is suede dye available, but I personally wouldn't do it because like was mentioned there is a very good chance that it will rub off on your jeans.

This certainly is an option and depending on the saddle, you would have to consider the cost. Replacing a seat in a saddle is, more than likely, going to cost around $200 and up.

I have dyed chaps a lot in the past & always had good luck with it. Msg me & I can give you the best way. I would not try dying a saddle's seat for the exact reason stated above by Norma
