 Own It and Move On
Location: The edge of no where | With this lovely weather....thinking renting some movies might be a good plan since I'm pouting that I can't ride right now. We never go to the movies and rarely rent... Suggestions?
I hate movies like Dumb & Dumber...
We watched State of Play last night, thinking the Equilizer looks good, maybe 'Walk Among the Tombstones'? I know Unbroken is great, just not really in the mood to see anything that hard to watch right now. |

My go to movie for bad weather is Gone with the Wind. |

Location: Nebraska | We went to see Unbroken New Year's Eve. It was pretty good, but I think the book was a whole lot harder to read than watching the movie. The movie didn't really show (it's probably a good thing) just how bad it really was. I just finished American Sniper and would love to see that as well. I watched the Giver the other night and was impressed. I had read it years ago in school. My husband is a movie fanatic and I think we've probably seen everything that is available to be rented, although I've probably fallen asleep through half of them lol. |

Tammy is kind of funny . Non-Stop with Liam Neeson was pretty good . The Purge was horrible . Downloaded Zero Dark Thirty for tonight. I am really waiting for American Sniper & Blackhat to come out. |

I watched Mom's Night Out the other night and I laughed so hard. I didn't think I'd care at all since I'm not a mom and couldn't relate to anything, but it was a downright hilarious movie (IMO) and I think it's probably okay to watch with anyone. |

this is how the night went for us too. Sex tape was well worth it, great movie, very funny!!!! 22 jump street not so much made it about half hour then the movie started skipping and we just turned it off was pretty stupid and disappointing. |

I did, it's been a few years. I didn't think the other two books lived up to Gone Girl, good entertainment, just not in it's class. I just finished the last Ken Follet book Edge of Eternity, it was outstanding. |

Location: Blissfully happy Giants fan!!! | lol-I must be the odd one out. I read Gone Girl and thought it was the worst ending to a book ever and of the ending isnt good then it is all over for me. I refuse to watch the movie-jeard the ending was even worsein the movie too.
I have now seen all three Hobbits. That really isnt my type of movie but it is my husbands (interestingly enough the OLD Star Wars are some of my favorite movies ever) but he wanted to see them. i liked the first movie but didnt care for the next two. He says if I liked the first one I would really like the Lord of the Rings. Dont care to try.
He also made me watch the Lego Movie...that stupid song will never leave my head.
I watched Malefecent the other day, pretty decent movie.
I LOVE the How to Train Your Dragon movies. So cute! |

It's been a year since I read Gone Girl, so I can't really try to compare it to her others. I'll have to look into Ken Follet!

In preparation for the last one, I just watched the first two again. I found the last one online but it's in Russian. At least I'm up to date again...I don't know if all of you have watched Avatar.. I held off for a long time because of all the CG stuff. I was really impressed with it tho. They are making 3 more. Production was set to begin late last year so I expect the first one to come the end of this year. |

Location: USA | Unbroken is very good. My sons went to see the Hobbit movie and they loved it, as usual. I have enjoyed all the LOTR movies, but haven't seen the newest. I have heard American Sniper is good. In DVD we watched "When the Game Stands Tall" . It's a good clean movie. True story. Unbroken was great, no bad language. But it was a little tough to watch all he went through, but definitely makes you appreciate the service of war veterans.

Some of our favorites we've seen recently in theater or rented: Lone Survivor, 22 Jump Street, Sex Tape, Exodus, Unbroken, Into the Storm, When the Game Stands Tall, Equilizer, and November Man to name a few.
Do NOT rent Tammy! I compare that to Dumb and Dumber. We also didn't care for A Singe Shot and Covert Operation. |

I watched The Wolf of Wall Street not long ago and laughed hysterically. However, it is NOT a family friendly show! I actually wish it wasn't a true story and felt kinda bad for laughing at some of it. But the way the movie was done was hilarious. |

I did not read the book first, but just bought it and am planning on starting it next week. We saw Foxcatcher and really liked it. It's a true story and I am not a Steve Carroll fan at all, but he was excellent in it. We also saw Mockingjay and I liked it a lot. It was my least favorite book and I was wary of them splitting it into two movies, but I think they did a really good job with it. We watched The Interview last night just for kicks and it is pretty stupid, but had some funny parts. We are going to Unbroken tomorrow (finally!!) and I can't wait. | We watched As Above So Below last night and it's AWFUL. I hated every second of it, wanted to punch the lead in the face most of the time and basically did not actually look at the TV for at least 1/4 of it because I was too creeped out. We also didn't start it until 1030, so that didn't help at all! I'm way too chicken for these and wanted to just take the dogs to bed but stuck it out. Terrible idea! |
