I'm looking at starting a new business that sells a product (not horse related). At this point I am gathering information for start up costs to see if it would even be feasible. I have several questions in regards to trademarks and websites.
What is involved with getting a copyright or trademark for a business name and or product? What is the approximate cost for that? I wouldn't need a patent, just wouldn't want someone to copy my business name or product name.
Where is the best place to get a website that is set up for selling and shipping? Cost definitely figures into that --- I already have my farm website but I'm not selling, etc.

I looked into here, I had to pay so much to get a tax ID.....even had my name picked out for the business (it was cute LOL). Then had to have so much set aside for the product.
I think you can set up a business account through paypal....maybe link your store on your ranch webpage now, and be able to allow customers to purchase through paypal from your website

this and if you know anything about websites you can go into paypal and create these html codes (really easy) and it lets people chose what they want and shipping as well. You can look at my website to see what I mean. It is for THE Equine Edge and I have a banner ad floating around here some place. I am very technology impaired and found it easy to figure out.
