| A friend of mine is looking at 2 race colts for prospects. I am just curious if the asking price is reasonable.
Colt 1: out of carona cartel mare (daughter) and Swingin Jess (Mr Jess Perry son) 4yo had 1 out, won it. Was put on back burner due to client horses taking priority. Gelding. Sound.
Colt 2: out of same mare, I don't remeber the stud but another nice race stallion. 5yo, had 1 out, placed 3rd. Was also put on back burner for same reason. Gelding. Sound.
What do you guys think they are worth? They were turned out and not messed with since spring. |

Those were my thoughts exactly. Supposedly the owner is also a trainer and had a major surgery that year and had to stick to his priority horses which were the client horses and he just never pulled these 2 back up |

I'm in agreement here. That said, since we train race horses I can understand the client horses taking front stage, but a race winner I would think should have been ran again not turned out to pasture. |

Location: Probably On the Road to the Next Barrel Race! | bought a gorgeous gray filly here on BHW for $3000, 2 outs, no placings. Corona Cartel and First Down Dash. She is going to either make me a lot of money when I sell her, or make me a nice 1D horse by late summer. |
