Location: Nowhere Special | I feel stupid posting this, I'll just get that out of the way.. LOL I sold my mare I brought down to tx with me, and bought a "rescue" horse on a whim this past weekend.. (whole other story for another time) Anyway I have NOTHING here, I hauled everything back up north with me when I went for the summer, and a friend was suppose to bring it down when he came, long story, less long, hes still not here, horse gets here tomorrow and I don't even have so much as a halter with me here! Trying to make a basic list of essential stuff I can get by with for a week or so while I have the more expensive things mailed down.. Its hard after accumulating things for a lifetime to not have ANYTHING because you forget half of what you need till you go to grab it and its not there.. so far Halter and lead rope brush hoof pick blanket and then I'm drawing a blank.... What else I know I'm missing a ton of stuff I'm going to need to just get by with or is cheaper to buy then ship as far as basic care stuff.. |

Not sure of your set up but here goes: Buckets and Tubs for feed storage, transport to stall and for him to eat out of Feed Scoop Hay Rack/Net/Bag Water Trough/Water Hose Electri De-icer for water buckets depending on how cols it is there for you unless oyu don't mind chipping ice Blanket Hay fork/Stall fork Bucket/wheel barrow to haul droppings Shavings for stall
Also, If he is a rescue search this forum for rscue horse nutrition posts. Lots of great advice on here about bringing one back to life. Good Luck. |
