As tax season is approaching, I have a few questions on what others do. What software, apps, spreadsheets, etc. does everyone use?
Also, in creating your breeding business plan (proving business v. hobby), what do you factor in for your long term and short term goals? How do you determine how many mares you plan on breeding a year- inside and outside? How do you figure out what your breeding fees will be (I understand it depends on the stud, his accomplishments, his offspring, etc). What does your financial forecast look like?
Also, in factoring in expenses- who does everyone use to create their stallion's promotionals- fliers, etc? How much do those typically cost?

I'm just getting started with some of this. I use Excell for everything. For Flyers I used Marcy Norwood turnnburn36@att.net or you can find her on facebook. She did great but was a little more expensive that some of the others. However she was very fast and was very great to work with. I'll use her again.
The flyer is normally very good quality but resizing it to upload now it isn't clear like it would normally be. But an example nonetheless.
