I have had my horses adjusted in the past when we thought there was a problem or they were "out"  because of a peformance issue..
The gelding I just got in is the most OUT horse I have ever seen, EVER!! Hes out in his poll, his neck, his back, his withers, hes out EVERYWHERE! and Very, Very sore in those areas. Mine have just flinched or twitched some when they were out but this horse was about to crawl out of his skin. We adjusted his back tonight, wants to wait a week to do the rest to let him start building some muscle and fat to help keep him in (hes very thin).. So how often should I expect to have this horse adjusted considering he is so bad off and putting on weight and muscle while we do it? Is there anything else I can do to "help" massage, certain exercises, streatching, supplements? I'm really not all that familiar with the whole chiro work especially in one this bad off.. so any suggestions would be great!!

Give a gram of bute every day for awhile. Do a body wash with vinegar, alcohol, absorbine, witch hazel. one bottle vinegar, green alcohol, witch hazel!/2 cup absorbine mix with warm water. Sponge all over. Once the horse is done youll be able to do some of the chiro to help keep him in.

If you can afford it, I'd have one out in another 2 weeks to a month.  Maybe have a lameness exam done....something has to be throwing him out whether it be pain or his feet....good luck.  :)

I'm sure theres a hole in him somewhere.. Horses bred like he is, as young as he is and as well broke and kind don't usually end up in the kill pen for no reason. I just hope its something we can work with.. always a gambel but he should at the very least make a nice riding horse of some kind if not a performance horse.
