Hopefully the picture comes up, but we got a stock trailer with an aluminum floor but has about 5 ridges a foot apart that go the length of the trailer floor. Is there any way to mat it?

If you are on a smart phone find a resize ap (I just typed in photo resize and found one) If you're on a computer right click the pic open with paint then edit the size by using sketch and skew. If you hover over the photo you can see how big the pic is, it needs to be less than 100 kb.
If the ridges aren't too high can you get belting material (from a gravel pit) and cut to fit in between the ridges and then buy mats to go over top all of the trailer??

When we haul horses in ours, we take old conveyor belt off of a rock crusher and lay it down. It fits perfectly between the grooves (18 inches) and creates a flat surface. Then we put down regular mats. When I tried just doing the mats, they scooted everywhere and created a bit of a cluster.

My 2 cents worth would be to forget the mats. Just use a lot sawdust. Livestock will not slip due to the tread plate and ridges. The saw dust will cushion better than the mats.
I have seen people put two levels of mats as described above. But what a pain to clean out IMO. And that will create voids that will fill up with waste and cause corrosion.

I agree, after seeing the pics, those ridges aren't enough to worry about, just put a couple of bags of sawdust down and see how they do.

We have the same floor in our sooner stock trailer and I just put 3 to 4 bags of shavings. Works great! We tried putting mats in but they would slide on the treads and we ended up getting a ton of crap underneath and then it was a pain to clean. So now I just do shavings.

THis one is a sooner too. We have shavings in it right now but because it's a stock trailer and open the shavings blow up in their face. I have never thought of that, but do they?
