Location: Texas | I was looking at the AT&T Stadium website and it says no purses other than a clutch size and no bags, etc. For those that have been to the American, do they enforce this there? Can I not bring my purse and a bag? My MIL will be coming with us, she is elderly and we have certain items she needs. I saw where certain exceptions are made after inspection and I don't need some huge bag but I don't want to tote it around in a clear plastic container and I'm sure others don't want to see some of what I need to carry.
And any hotel recommendations?

Location: Heart of Texas | last year they didn't inforce the bag policy. Just dress warm if the weather will be cold. You have a ways to walk no matter where you park. |

Location: TX | Yes, they do enforce this. I always just put my ID, debit card and cash in my husbands wallet. Surely some kind of exception could be made for your MIL if she has certain items that she needs. I'd maybe call their customer service? |

| I haven't been to the American, but I did go to the George Strait concert there in June and I watched a woman THROW AWAY a Coach purse because they told her she couldn't take it in. I was just hoping it was either a knock off or she bought it used because holy crap that's an expensive thing to throw away!
So yes, the stadium does enforce it! But I would also think they would make exceptions for medical needs. |

Location: Down South | This is an NFL stadium and same rules apply as for games. Yes, they will enforce the policy. The purse/clutch cannot be bigger than the palm of your hand. You indicated you had read the requirements, but I'm posting the link to the AT&T stadium policy page... http://attstadium.com/guests/guestInfo.cfm.

Location: Texas | We were just there a couple of weeks ago for the state high school championship game and they did enforce the policy. If you don't need it, don't take it. I.D., cash, credit card and that is it. Maybe a lip gloss in your pocket. |

Location: Buffalo, TX | I'm going to leave my purse at home and take some money, credit card, license, phone...I do carry, but I have a gun safe in the console of my truck that is permanently installed, so I can keep my gun and maybe some other stuff safely in there, but I'm not going to carry around a clear plastic bag for someone to see my billfold and possibly grab the bag from me..... |

Location: Texas | I figured they would enforce it, just thought I'd ask from experience. I'm not worried about my stuff, as long as I have my phone, money, id, and cards I'm good. :) But my MIL needs a few things that I'd rather not have on display. And she loves rodeo so I don't want her to miss out on this. So we'll do what we have to. |

I think I would cry if I had to throw away a Coach purse. |

| They did enforce it last year. Also make sure your husband or boyfriends or sons do not have a pocket knife or anything like that on them. There were lots of men having to go back to their cars or throw them away. Most of them threw them away. My FIL had to go all the way back to the car in the ice and cold to put his up. And he is elderly- no special rules for anyone.

Location: Heart of Texas | Wow. When we walked in last year nobody searched us, touched us, nothing. They handed us a flag and off we went. I didn't take a purse, wouldn't risk it, but i watched plenty of women before me walk in with one. |

Location: Sherman, TX | I went to the American last year and they did enforce it, they turned several people back around to put their purses back in their car. I took a clear purse and they had no problem with it. My purse was actually the plastic zip up bag that a horse brush set comes in, will use the same thing this year. If you have "embarrassing" things to carry in a purse maybe they are small enough to put in large wallet in your clear purse? I put ID and credit cards in solid-colored cloth change purse as I do not want others to see my credit card numbers. They had no problem with me doing that, and yes they did go through my clear purse. They searched everyone in our long long line. You may be able to call the stadium also, customer service is very very nice there.... |

Location: Texas | Well if it comes down to it, I'll just get inside, buy something and then use that bag to put her stuff in. It's not alot, so it won't be too bad. I could put in in a clear plastic and put just those things in brown paper, let them search that and go about my business that way. My phone has a place to hold my cards and id. So I should be good to go.
Are there lots of vendors there? |

Location: Sherman, TX | There were a decent amount of vendors there last year in tents out front, kind of like Cowboy Christmas but nowhere near as big. They also had several trainers Chris Cox etc. to do demonstrations but many were cancelled because the weather was so bad that day. Supposed to be many many more vendors tho year as they are hoping it will be bigger than Cowboy Christmas one day in the future... |

Yes and if you bought anything from the vendors you have to take it to you car also. You can't bring your purchases in. Maybe the vendors will be inside this year. |

Oh well that's no fun, but I guess I will just have to take them back to my car. I was going to catch a shuttle to the rodeo. I guess that nixes that idea. |
